From the moment I picked up Karen Hamilton’s new novel, The Perfect Girlfriend, I couldn’t put it down. It is a thrilling read that is full of suspense at every page. No wonder it is already a #1 international bestseller!

I took The Perfect Girlfriend with me on my trip to Colombia to read as I enjoyed the beautiful Caribbean beaches near Cartagena. Though the book is 350 pages, it only took me two days to read it because I would stay up late while everyone was sleeping reading the pages non-stop.
In the novel, Juliette is clearly unaware of personal boundaries with people. She not only steals Nates apartment key, but also seems to think it is okay to take friends keys as well, then would go and hang out in the apartment when the person isn’t there. It was fascinating hearing the story told from her perspective because it is like a window into a psychopath’s soul. Juliette also became a flight attendant so she could stalk Nate (a pilot) around the world. I don’t wait to give away the whole story but the ending will leave your jaw dropped to the floor.
The further you get into the novel the more pain you feel for her poor ex-boyfriend Nate, who can’t seem to catch a break. He is portrayed as a logical guy that is trying to do the right thing and speak reason to Juliette. You soon are on team Nate from a story that is told from Juliette’s point of view!
It is one of the best books I’ve read in a while, and I’ve already passed it on to a friend to share the love. But now you have a chance to get a copy too!
